Conversation with Dr. Jeff O’Driscoll on the Intersection of Medicine and Spirituality

Updated: Oct 31, 2021

You may have already read my blog post and viewed my conversation with Jeff Olsen about his near-death and out-of-body experiences after a tragic car accident (https://rhondahull.com/2020/03/conversation-with-jeff-olsen-about-his-near-death-experience/). The story doesn’t end there.

Dr. Jeff O’Driscoll practiced emergency medicine in a level-one trauma center for twenty-five years and was present in the E.R. the day that Jeff Olsen was brought in. As an emergency physician, he sometimes received intuitive messages that helped him care for patients and with Jeff Olsen, we saw the spirit—the eternal essence—of Jeff’s wife who had died at the scene of the accident. Only later were they able to compare stories.

In my conversation with Dr. Jeff, he shares about his overlapping experience and the deep friendship that evolved from it.

Dr. Jeff O’Driscoll

Dr. O’Driscoll recently stepped away from practicing medicine to pursue consulting and to write. His recent books include a novel, Who Buried Achilles?, a series of children’s books about Muck the Duck and friends, and his award-winning memoir, Not Yet, focusing on his spiritual encounters in the emergency department.
